Over 60 NFL Players Opt out of 2020 Season Over COVID-19 Concerns. The NFL’s August 6 deadline to withdraw from the 2020 season has officially passed. James has alleged that current and former NRA leadership "instituted a culture of self-dealing mismanagement". This culture benefited themselves, family, friends, and favored vendors. This led the organization to "lose" more than $63 million in three years.
