Woman Calls Friend for Help, Then Vanishes From CabinNewser — Bob Cronin
About 2:45am last Thursday, a phone rang in Warren, near Detroit. Adrienne Quintal was calling a friend for help. Less than 15 minutes later, deputies and troopers arrived at the cabin in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula where Quintal was staying, 9&10 News reports.
She was gone, her vehicle, purse and cellphone left behind. A search of the area that included tracking dogs didn't find her. Volunteers joined the search Saturday.
Friends and family haven't heard from her since that call.
The sheriff's office said deputies found signs of possible foul play, per WXYZ, but they're not sure whether she left voluntarily or not.
Quintal, 47, who lives in Warren, had gone to the family cabin about three weeks ago to visit her boyfriend. He left the area two days before she disappeared, officials said.
Still unsure whether Quintal is in danger, authorities are investigating.
